NPU Nitrogen Generation System
Membrane nitrogen equipment of SMC company separates nitrogen from air using organic membrane module,manufactured by American Generon company which is same as SMC sibling to IGS aggregative. The separation fundamental is the followng:
All gas have different adsorption, diffuse, infiltration rate. We call gas with high infiltration rate fast gas, gas with low infiltration rate slow gas. After mixed gas go through membrane, fast gas gets together out side of low pressure, slow gas gets together insider the high pressure. In that way, membrane separates the mixed gas.
In order to advance surface area of membrane and decrease the thickness of membrane, Generon company makes polymer into hollow fiber. Making fasciculus consist of every supper thin hollow fiber, then revolving to hollow fiber membrane modules - separator according to fixed separating surface. Generons super thin hollow fiber has got thinner wall and tubing, so this brings bigger specific area and higher nitrogen recovery rate to it. In addition, Generons membrane has long life, good pressure resistance and energy saving. Comparing with other nitrogen generating membrane at the same separating area, Generons membrane is smaller and lighter, and the capacity of air compressor used in nitrogen generating system is also smaller (better energy saving).
Operation of Membrane Generation
1.Air compressed and Pre-treatment system
Compressed air sent by air compressor, enter air buffer tank. Most dust and oil, water will be removed after primary filter, and then enter dryer. The dew point temperature will decrease to -35. Most gaseity oil and water will be condensed and eliminated by secondary filter. Then enter electrical heater, and be heated to about 45. The temperature is controlled by temperature controller. When temperature of heater exceeds 50, the temperature alarm controller will cut off the electricity and shutdown. After heated, the gaseity oil in the compressed air will be eliminated more by active carbon filter .The remnant dust will be eliminate by dust filter.Secondary filter primary filter and air buffer tank are all installed auto-drain valve which will drain on time. Condensation generated by compressed air will be drained through condensation drain pipe.
2. Membrane air separate system
Nitrogen separation sub-system consists of suits of control valves fore and afters of the membrane and a set of membrane modules and the components necessary for the proper operation and control of the SMC Membrane system.
The membrane nitrogen generation has better stability, also can supply higher product pressure. For longtime safe running, membrane nitrogen generation is the best choice.
